This beauty couldn't stand up to the wind and buckled along a hinge point while waiting transport.
The original zinc frame had been applied in pieces instead of one continuous piece along each side. This created multiple points of failure and fail it did!
Its owner wasn't willing to discard the window and had it partially rebuilt and repaired.
I love seeing the transformation of these valuable pieces of history. There are so few that remain as the older homes are being renovated and updated. These delicate designs seldom last once they're removed from their original wood frames.
